Your Inner Phoenix designs unique course experiences for women on
healing, transformation and self-discovery.

Like the phoenix, sometimes we need to burn part of who we were, along with the beliefs that we thought to be true, in order to rise again to create something new and beautiful.

When we are going through a period of loss - whether it’s the end of a marriage, a different significant relationship, or a major change in identity - the difficult process of burning and losing the things we once thought to be true - that "unlearning" process - can also enable us to see our lives through a new lens of possibility.

We get to decide how we want to show up for ourselves.
And we get to decide who we want to be next.

Our courses support women to harness their own inner phoenix as they move along their journey of healing from the burn of loss and rising resiliently into the future.

About Theresa Newhard, Founder

It was nearly three years ago that I sat on the couch in my former home and gathered the courage to tell my former husband that I wanted a separation.  I was terrified.

For months leading up to that moment – and for quite a long time afterward – I felt myself just hovering above the surface in a deep pool of emotions and “what ifs,” juggling a long list of scary legal tasks, a job, two small children, and an entirely new identity.

It was almost impossible to see the forest from the trees in terms of what I had to do, let alone how to process how I felt.

Without a community of divorced friends or family to turn to, I had to go searching for what my soul needed.  I found what I needed by building myself a village of amazing women from all different backgrounds who put their hands on my back and helped me start to imagine what was possible in my life.  After many a night scouring divorce podcasts, divorce/women empowerment Instagram feeds, books, etc., I then curated a list of daily “required” listening / reading / watching that helped me cultivate self love and acceptance.

Today, I feel strong. I am living a life that feels beautiful and true. And although I am human and, therefore, a “work in progress” I know that I have come out of my divorce a better version of myself. But this wasn’t an easy journey – not in the least.

Finding my village and my tools took an incredible amount of time, energy and money -- precious, scarce resources in the aftermath of separation or divorce -- along with a mindset that I was worthy of investing in myself.

  • We believe and defer to the wisdom and expertise that the participants have about their own lives
  • We believe that feeling, healing and knowing can be harnessed in many different ways and design our sessions accordingly
  • We prioritize emotional safety, practicing openness, transparency and trustworthiness in our communications

What is included

  • Over the course of 8 live sessions over Zoom, an intimate group of participants will be led through distinct topic areas by a course facilitator and dynamic speakers who will share their stories, their work and tools around healing and transformation, and engage participants in meaningful discussion.

  • Participants will receive emails in between session with highly curated content, including post-session reflections, contact information for speakers, “must” read / listen / watch published material; and customized worksheets, journal topics and meditation/mindfulness exercises that can be done self-paced.
